- Short news items about animation, video games, or related topics.
- Reviews or recaps of animation or video games.

This website is primarily about video games and animation, with special attention paid to the writing and voice acting. If you know who Kevin Conroy is and can articulate why he’s awesome (or why you think he’s overrated!), then there’s a place for you here.
Contributors are unpaid, but receive full credit for their work. They may also place a link to their own website or social profile in their author bio.
All articles must be at least 300 words.
To apply, please email an introduction and writing sample to [email protected].
A Little Background
When I started The Vocal Range in late 2016, I didn’t expect much from it. It was a hobby, and a way to develop my web skills. I’m a freelance writer, and my workload was filled with assignments for tech and business blogs.
Good stuff, but nothing that makes me smile. Nothing fun, you know?
So, to make sure I wrote every day (that’s important!), and about something I enjoyed, I started a blog. A fan site, really.
A site where the geek flag flies high.
It’s all about cartoons and video games, and the wonderful characters who inhabit them. And most of all, the people who bring them to life with nothing but a microphone and the willingness to sound utterly ridiculous.
And to my great surprise, people started reading the site. People like this stuff! There’s an audience!
It’s small, but growing every week. That amazes and humbles me. And I know it can be more, with help.
So, it’s time to stop running a one-man show. It’s time for The Vocal Range to expand. If you’d like to be part of a growing blog, and receive a visible outlet for your opinions on these most trivial of matters, please get in touch.
